the party

Previously I had read the part when ms Franny gave some candy to Opal. Opal gave to all his friends the candy that had an special flavor that is sadness. Opal and Gloria organized a party of all the friends of Opal and for Otis could play his guitar to His friends and not always to the animals. Opal and Gloria decided to start decorating and inviting there friends.


"Where's Winn Dixie?"(Dicamillo pg65) Opal said this when the thunderstorm happened in middle of the party and all of them go in the house but she forgot about the Winn Dixie fear to the thunderstorm. "He looks like a ghost,"(Dicamillo pg74) this happened when the preacher and Opal came back of searching Winn Dixie.she said this because the dog never go out of the house and Opal think that he was lost.

I like this book it was good to read it because when I finish a chapter I need to read more to know what happen after. The book is fun because it had a dog and is like he said us all the things that a dog could do for us. I allsow liked when they put the thunderstorm in the story and that Winn Dixie had terror because almost all the dogs had it.

Littmus Lozenge candy

To remember what we read the last weeks I will make a short summary.first Opal go to the super market and saves a dog for going to the pound. The preacher or his father to stay the dog and he accepted. The dog Winn Dixie help Opal to get work and she love him. She go to work earlier to get at time to hear Otis play his guitar.

Ms. Franny said "you've probably both had your share of sadness."(Dicamillo pg115) ms Franny said this when she gives the Littmus Lozenge candy to make Opal and Amanda  shear their sadness.   "Have a party"(Dicamillo pg137) this occurred after Opal gives her friends the Littmus Lozenge candy. She said this because Otis feel sad because he only could play the guitar to the animals so he could play guitar to all the friends of Opal.




I predict that Opal will give the candy to evry person in the party. Allsow that all the friends of Opal will go to the party and be friends with each other. I think that the candy have a secret flavor for the people feel sad. The candy could be very delicious without the sad flavor

The thunderstorm

In the last week I read cool things In the book like when Opal went to ms franny library and started talking about the story of the bear. Opal get work in the Gertudes pets bacause of Winn Dixie need a collared. Winn Dixie helped Opal by doing friends and allsow to get invited to a party. This is a resume of the most important thing in the last chapters.

"The night there was a real bad thunderstorm"(Dicamillo pg78) this happened a night that Opal woke up not with the thunderstorm she woke up because of Winn Dixie start barking and running. "We would leave the trailer early in the morning and get down to Gertudes pets in time to hear Otis play his guitar music for the animals"(Dicamillo pg87) this happened the first day of work of Opal. Winn Dixie and Opal went to work earlier and when they go in Gertudes pets she see all the animals out of their cages. The animals were hearing Otis play the guitar.
                


I think that Opal would said to a lot of people about Otis playing the guitar to the other animals. I think that the book is very good but so far need a little more of suspense. I liked the part when Opal talks about Winn Dixie's fear to the thunderstorm because it remember to my dogs. I liked the theme of this book because is like a real story.

Making friends

In the last week Opal went to the library to found books and the librarian ms.franny screamed beard so Opal go to see and it was Winn Dixie. She asked to ms.franny what happend so she start talking about how was it before and a story of a beard that came one day to his libery. Opal go to a dog store to buy things for his nicely dog. When she entered there was a nice collar but it was expensive so she said that could work to pay it and that moment a parrot named Gertrude. Opal had a problem that was the dog he  couldn't get in because Gertrude don't like dogs. Opal decide to bring Winn Dixie inside to make friend with the parrot and it happend.


Between Opal and Winn Dixie are very similar but in the same way different because they try to do friends and his dog  is always helpful. " Summer happened because of Winn Dixie."(Dicamillo-60)she said this because Winn Dixie help him to get friends and work. Thy are similar because the two are happy and wind Dixie specially because he smile almost evry person and move his tail. "He'll be good."this  quote happend when Opal was saying to ms.Franny to let Winn Dixie get in the library to hear the story of the bear.so this make Opal for winn Dixie.

When Winn Dixie help Opal to make friends I liked a lot because he give she friends to play and talk. I predict that Winn Dixie will keep doing friends. Also that if she put a lot of work to the dog he could be very shine and coulden get until they died together. I get more interested in the book when I am reading so I want to continue.

Winn Dixie

Winn Dixie is a book that talks about how a little girl found his dog in a super market and how the dog is with him all the time. the first chapters of the book is when the main character India Opal starts talking about how her get his dog and named winn Dixie. India opal was going to the winn Dixie super market to buy tomatoes and there was a dog that was running all around the super market.
But the  owner of the market get yelling and opal say "this is my dog so she save him to go to the pound.  In that moment opal go to his house with a dog instead of tomatoes and she convince her father that was a very good dog and the dog go to all parts with wind Dixie including to cherch.

Opal sometimes was confused because she didn't remember her mother."Since I'm ten years old, you should tell me ten things about my mama."(Dicamillo 25) Opal tell to her father to convince him to tell her something of her mom because she miss her a lot.Opal had one extraordinary friend, Winn-Dixie. The owner of the supermarket wanted to call the pound but Opal shouted him  "Wait a minute! That's my dog. Don't call the pound." (Dicamillo 9) This happen to save the dog so I liked because everything that has life need to be happy.The first part of the book I liked so much because it describes the character a lot.

What I have read to far I think that in the next chapter Opal would get new friends.While I'm reading I imagine a movie so I could understand more the book. The book is very fun because when you started reading you don't want to stop only keep reading and reading. So far what I have read I liked and the most interesting part is when the dog is playing in the super market.In conclusion I want that the dog satay in the house with Opal and be happy.
